As part of this commitment, we’re excited to welcome Dr. Jennifer Barraclough to our clinical team and announce that she’s now accepting new patients.

Meet Dr. Barraclough
Dr. Barraclough brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for evidence-based, compassionate care to our practice. She completed her specialty cardiology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) in 2015 and brings 10 years of clinical experience as a cardiologist to our Central Heart team.
Her extensive credentials include an Interventional Fellowship at RPAH, followed by a prestigious international fellowship in a Complex High-Risk PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) and Intracoronary Imaging at the Bristol Heart Institute in the United Kingdom. This means Dr. Barraclough is highly skilled at all aspects of cardiological care, including diagnosing, treating and managing more advanced cases. Her ability to use advanced technology, such as tiny cameras to guide her procedures with incredible precision, means you can be confident that you’re receiving the best possible care as her patient.
Academically, she holds a PhD from the University of Sydney and has been awarded a highly competitive Early-Mid Career Research Grant through NSW Health for her groundbreaking work in women’s health prevention, where she utilised mammograms to predict cardiovascular risk in women.
A patient-first approach, with three main clinical interests
Beyond her impressive credentials, Dr. Barraclough is highly regarded for her patient-first approach. She believes the best healthcare outcomes happen when she takes the time to truly listen to you, understand your unique lifestyle, and collaborate on a personalised treatment plan that works for you.
Her clinical interests include:
- Complex coronary interventions (including calcium modifications, intracoronary imaging and coronary physiology)
- Advanced diagnostic cardiac imaging (Echocardiography and CT Coronary Angiography)
- Preventive cardiology, with a special research focus on women’s cardiovascular risk assessments
Outside of work Dr. Barraclough enjoys being outdoors, socialising with friends and family and attending sporting events.

When can you see Dr. Barraclough?
Dr. Barraclough will be seeing her patients at our Gosford practice, providing interventional and general cardiology services at North Gosford Private Hospital and Gosford Public Hospital.
